Location: Harlow, Essex
Day Shift: Week 1: 08:00 – 16:00/09:00 – 17:00, Week 2: 14:00 – 22:00
Night Shift: 20:00 – 04:00

As a quality assurance officer, you will be responsible for the final release of aseptically compounded products, involving checking batch manufacturing records against orders, prescriptions, and stability data, ensuring GMP is followed throughout the compounding process, and conducting physical checks of finished compounded products. You will also be responsible for identifying hazards within the manufacturing process and at final release of product, resolving issues with the advice of the QA manager as required and acting where appropriate. Key Responsibilities:
* Perform QA Final Release of aseptically compounded products, ensuring adherence to batch records, orders, prescriptions, and stability data.
* Conduct physical checks of products to verify quality and identify discrepancies.
* Investigate non-conformances, determine risks to product quality, and categorize incidents.
* Participate in the QA on-call services on a rotational basis, ensuring prompt response to quality-related issues.
* Support environmental monitoring programs, conduct QA documentation checks, and participate in the quality management system.
* Foster a culture of quality and compliance within the organisation.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need either previous experience as a registered pharmacy technician or be a graduate (or equivalent) in a biological/pharmaceutical-related science. It is essential that you have previous GMP experience, preferably in a laboratory environment. As the position involves repetitive checking of a batch of manufacturing records, the ability to focus and meet tight deadlines while still maintaining excellent attention to detail is a must. You will have effective written and verbal communication skills and be a competent user of Microsoft Word and Excel.
