Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for an 6 PA Locum Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatry post providing psychiatric input and service development to the North Somerset CAMHS Community Eating Disorder Service. The North Somerset Eating Disorder Service will become a spoke of the Bristol, North Somerset & South Gloucestershire specialist community eating disorder hub, which has links with Bristol Children's hospital and Riverside inpatient unit. The core community CAMHS teams offers extended assessments of new referrals followed by referral on to one of several therapeutic care pathways - CBT, DBT, trauma therapy/EMDR, arts psychotherapy. Main duties of the job The psychiatrist will offer assessment and treatment where required, working alongside a case holder within the team, and be an important member of the multi-disciplinary team, offering psychiatric consultation and formulation. The post holder will provide psychiatric input to an experienced community Eating Disorder team, working closely with paediatricians and the acute hospitals in Bristol.
