An opportunity has arisen within the Optometry team for an Admin Assistant. The role involves providing confidential administrative and clerical support to meet the needs of the Optometry team within the Ophthalmology Department, in alignment with departmental, Trust, and national standards.

• Book outpatient appointments appropriately, escalating issues as they arise.
• Act as the primary point of contact for routine enquiries, taking necessary action and liaising with others as appropriate.
• Communicate effectively with staff, patients, and external organisations using appropriate methods.
• Maintain both manual and electronic filing systems and databases in accordance with departmental and Trust policies, ensuring all documents are accurately archived.
• Provide an efficient and comprehensive administrative service, including tasks such as typing, photocopying, and supporting the department and team members as requested
