The business has a novel manufacturing process with applications across a range of advanced engineering sectors, including hydrogen containment, RF and lightweight structures.
This role has responsibility for conducting a range of manufacturing tasks, helping set up manufacturing equipment, supporting electroforming development projects and QA activity.
Working to ISO9001 standards and towards EN9100.
Responsibilities: Manufacturing / QA Ultima Forma has set up a new factory north of Basingstoke and has a growing number of technology development projects underway.
As a technology business we are designing, developing, prototyping, and manufacturing products for a range of clients.
We also also moving towards low volume scale-up manufacture.
(i) Assisting with manufacturing facility specification and installation (ii) Leading manufacturing activities for the evolving project portfolio (iii) Development of manufacturing planning related to the building and scale of pilot manufacturing programmes (iv) Working within ISO9001 (v) Interface with the rest of the engineering and project management team (vi) Helping develop QA protocols and manufacturing processes that can reliably meet QA expectations.
Essential: • A good manufacturing, science or engineering degree • Minimum 2 years working within a manufacturing advanced engineering business – ideally space, aerospace or other transport sector • Experience of aerospace QA systems and controls • Ability to review and critique technical engineering information • Ability to communicate commercial and technical messages in a relevant, effective and engaging format to varied audience members • Able to construct manufacturing proposals with support from others • Ability to handle confidential issues across various stakeholders and negotiate exclusivity and IP terms for the business • Able to create business cases and budgetary planning of manufacturing projects • Good time management, project management and organisational skills • Energetic and resourceful team player with the ability to initiate and manage change • Ability to work flexible across a number of roles Desirable: • Experience using robotics • Experience with chemical based systems • Understanding NDT and materials characterisation techniques and results • Network of relevant industry relationships including manufacturing suppliers
