Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location:Oxfordshire Area
Salary:£50,000 - £65,000 per year (depending on experience) + £5,500 car allowance
Full-time (37.5 hours/week)About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. Based across various construction sites in the Oxfordshire area, youll be responsible for managing all contractual and commercial aspects of construction projects from pre-contract to final account. This includes procurement, cost control, and managing financial risks to ensure projects are delivered on budget.Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor and report on all commercial aspects of contracts.
* Prepare and send tender enquiries and manage subcontractor procurement.
* Oversee monthly valuations and final account agreements with subcontractors.
* Ensure compliance with contract requirements and handle contract payment applications.
* Track variations on site and assist in contract claims and cash flow forecasts.
* Manage contractual correspondence and attend contract meetings.
* Support and mentor Trainee/Assistant Quantity Surveyors.
* Promote the company by attending networking events and keeping updated on contract law.
What Youll Need:
* Degree level or equivalent qualification.
* Professional membership with a relevant body.
* Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
* Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
Bonus Skills:
* Experience with software like Bluebeam and Microsoft Office.
* Understanding of various contract forms and dispute resolution.
* Proficiency in methods of measurement (e.g., SMM7).
