Accounting Assistant is a pivotal part of the VNA of Care New England with a mission to assist in daily operations and participate with coding of accounts payable invoices, processing of cash related tasks, ordering of supplies, validating of time reporting through Kronos, preparation of statistical worksheets office tasks and day to day operational tasks as required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Preparing and coding of Vendor Invoices for processing in accounts payable.
2. Processing of Cash and Checks for daily deposit.
3. Processing of Electronic Bank Activity Files.
4. Processing of Credit Card Transactions.
5. Ordering of Office Supplies.
6. Validation and Processing of time entries through Kronos for processing in payroll and maintain a high level of confidentiality and security of financial and payroll data.
7. Room and Board Claim Submission and data tracking.
8. Complete Statistical Worksheets, daily dashboard.
9. Adheres to organizational policies and procedures and regulatory and accreditation standards.
10. Maintain congregate meal site reporting on meals and deposit reconciliations.
11. Complete other tasks that will develop during the course of day, week, month.
Requirements:
1. Associates Degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred.
2. Minimum of two (2) years accounting experience required.
3. Excellent knowledge base including Microsoft Office experience, including Excel knowledge.
4. Must be able to work with a high degree of accuracy and maintain confidentiality.
5. Must be able to work independently and possess strong organization skills and detail focus.
6. Excellent organizational skills required.
7. Must possess a strong command of the English language.
8. Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
