Job description Please note that this vacancy is only open to female applicants due to the personal care required for a vulnerable adult as permitted under the Equality Act 2010 We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Complex Care Support Worker to provide care for a female service user with multiple medical needs, including spinal cord injury, paraplegia, colostomy management, Mitrofanoff care, and chronic pain. The role involves delivering high-quality personal and clinical care, ensuring the service user's well-being, comfort, and dignity while respecting her independence and faith-based needs. Key Responsibilities Personal & Clinical Care Assist with personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming while maintaining the service user's dignity. Support medication prompting and administration as per the service user's requirements. Mobility & Transfers Assist with hoisting and repositioning using a ceiling and manual hoist (training provided). Ensure safe wheelchair use and positioning to prevent pressure sores. Daily Living & Social Support Assist with meal preparation following dietary preferences. Support the service user in attending religious services and assisting with online Zoom services. Maintain a clean and hygienic environment, ensuring infection control measures are followed. Engage in companionship and emotional support, respecting the service user's routines and preferences. Requirements Experience in complex care (preferred but training provided). Competence in hoisting and manual handling (training available). Strong communication and observational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Respect for religious and cultural preferences, including assisting with faith-based activities. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one). Right to work in the UK. Ability to drive a mobility car. Shift Pattern Monday - Sunday: 6:30 - 19:00 (Day Shift) Location: Dukinfield Why Join Us?
