The Position: The Information Security team is responsible for the oversight and execution of the company’s information security and risk management programmes to support our business goals. This includes, but is not limited to security strategy, security operations, vulnerability management, incident response, risk identification and mitigation planning / implementation, identity management, network security, privacy, and compliance. You will be responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of our company’s information systems and data. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain security solutions, monitor potential security threats, and ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices. Responsibilities: Design, implement, and manage security tools, processes, and strategies to safeguard company assets and sensitive data. Monitor networks and systems for security breaches, identifying potential vulnerabilities and taking appropriate corrective actions. Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and security audits to ensure the effectiveness of security measures. Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards across the organisation. Collaborate with infrastructure, data, enterprise systems and software development teams to integrate security into system designs, software and infrastructure. Respond to security incidents, investigate the root causes and implement corrective actions. Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and industry regulations to ensure compliance and enhance security practices. Provide guidance and support to other departments on security best practices and incident response. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience as an Information Security Engineer or similar role in an enterprise environment, or experience in another IT field with a desire to move into an information security role. Understanding of security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST and CIS Controls. Experience with multiple security areas, for example; endpoint security, network security, risk management, security monitoring, vulnerability management, incident response. Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux), networking protocols, and/ or application development. Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security. Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
