We have an opportunity for a creative and dedicated candidate to join our family as Operational Learning Manager on a fixed term contract for up to 12 months covering Maternity leave. The Operational Learning Manager (OLM) is a role where the candidate will be expected to get stuck in and operationally coach and support the ops teams. The OLM will be part of the People Team and will support the Head of Learning and Head of Quality and Safety to create learning tools and training standards for the whole business to maximise on consistency and delivery of our customer offer in every business we operate. The OLM will work in partnership and build great relationships with our operational teams, ensuring that our ops team have a voice and that we listen to feedback and ideas about how we can deliver our offer in a stronger way operationally, alongside coaching and supporting them to deliver the offer to their best. Your responsibilities: • Operational and on site present learning support for our op’s teams • Supports in the delivery, training and roll out of quality standards of our current offer along with the launch of new initiatives e.g. kiosks, wrap stations, gelato counters, new menu launches etc. • Creates operational training tools that colleagues can access through our new colleague app (My Westmorland) • Is expert in operations and continually upskills in areas that are unfamiliar to them, including seeking out other experts to help and support in these areas • Creates training standards for each role and area • Leads on Colleague Trainer engagement and continuous development operationally • Supports training of service models and standards on the job • Supports operational safety training and follows up • Supports the Quality and Safety team to create standards for different areas of the business so that we can appropriately train colleagues to deliver our offer brilliantly and consistently • Supports the Ops team with Operational Shift Leadership and feedback • Supports Induction Champions with delivery of Colleague Inductions and ensures the required operational training is undertaken during the 12 week engagement period • Evaluates training impact via customer and colleague feedback, business reports and on the job observation providing feedback, coaching and training solutions when required WFHP About You This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and positive people person who can develop great relationships with both managers and colleagues. Based in Tebay and our Northern sites the candidate must have the ability to travel when required to support other sites. This helps to minimise cost of travel as well as ensuring an on site presence in our two biggest businesses Tenay and Gloucester services.
