Working Hours: 9-5.30 (Flexibility allowed)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Finance Manager to join our finance team in our head office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounts payable, managing accounts receivable, and completing stock account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial transactions and processing payroll through a third-party provider. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent Excel skills are a prerequisite.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Stock:
Managing stock accounts, including tracking inventory levels and valuations. Perform regular reconciliations of stock accounts and complete month-end closing procedures. Collaborate with inventory management to ensure accuracy in stock records.
2. Accounts Payable Management:
Oversee process and recording of incoming invoices accurately and efficiently. Verify and reconcile invoices against purchase orders and receipts. Prepare payment batches for approval and ensure timely payments to vendors. Maintain organized records of all accounts payable transactions.
3. Communication and Coordination:
Liaise with vendors and internal departments to resolve discrepancies and answer inquiries. Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
4. Data Entry and Reporting:
Enter financial data into accounting software with a high degree of accuracy. Generate regular reports on accounts payable and stock account metrics. Prepare monthly payroll for third-party provider to process. Manage accounts receivable process and reconciliation.
5. Process Improvement:
Assist in identifying areas for process improvements within accounts payable and inventory management. Participate in implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
1. Experience:
Proven experience in a related finance role; experience with stock accounts is a necessity. Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar). Right to Work in UK.
2. Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellence in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
