Leader Education are looking for an English Teacher to join a Secondary school based in Middlesbrough. The ideal English Teacher will possess strong subject knowledge as well as some experience working with children who may exhibit elements of challenging behaviour. This school caters for children aged 11 to 16 years old and prides itself on providing an accessible and enjoyable educational experience that ensures academic success and helps develop life-long skills.
The normal working pattern is Monday to Friday 8:30 till 3pm and is a long-term position given a successful trial.
The ideal English Teacher will have:
* An enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
* A Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and will be able to provide your TRN.
* Strong subject knowledge and great communication and interpersonal skills
* A great understanding of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children
* A patient, compassionate personality and the ability to support the students in accessing the curriculum and classroom activities
* Some experience working alongside children that exhibit some challenging behaviours is desirable
