Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCo) Start Date: September 2025 Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent Location: Berkshire, South East England We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SENDCo to join a dynamic and inclusive secondary school community. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to lead and develop the SEND provision, ensuring that all students receive the support they need to thrive. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day operation of the school's SEND policy. Coordinate and monitor the provision for students with SEND, ensuring high-quality teaching and support. Lead on the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). Liaise with parents, staff, and external agencies to support student progress and well-being. Provide guidance and training to teaching and support staff on inclusive practices and differentiation strategies. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with statutory requirements and best practices. Person Specification: - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential. - Proven experience in a similar role within a secondary school setting. - Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and current legislation. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
