About the Role
As the Registered Manager for our Supported Accommodation services, you will lead from the front, ensuring compliance, driving quality, and creating a child-centred environment. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing operations and spearheading the onboarding of new homes during our exciting expansion.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced and motivated leader to directly shape the future of supported accommodation for young people.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Management
* Lead daily operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care.
* Recruit, mentor, and develop a motivated staff team.
* Foster a positive, inclusive culture that reflects our mission and values.
Expansion and Development
* Oversee the operational setup of additional homes over the next year.
* Collaborate with senior management to ensure new homes meet regulatory standards.
* Drive service growth while maintaining exceptional care and compliance.
Care and Support Management
* Develop tailored support plans and risk assessments for each young person.
* Encourage young people to develop independence and essential life skills.
* Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring the welfare of all residents.
Compliance and Quality Assurance
* Maintain full compliance with Ofsted regulations, striving for “Good” or “Outstanding” ratings.
* Conduct audits and reviews, implementing improvements as needed.
Multi-Agency Collaboration
* Build strong relationships with social workers, commissioners, and other stakeholders.
* Represent Welcare at multi-agency meetings, advocating for the needs of young people.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a driven and experienced leader who is ready to take on the challenge of leading and growing our Supported Accommodation services.
Experience and Skills
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a senior management role within supported accommodation or a similar service.
* Proven ability to manage and develop staff teams effectively.
* Strong knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and related legislation.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care (or equivalent), or willingness to complete this qualification.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development.
