We are looking for a passionate and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our team and support the delivery of high-quality early years education. The Role: We are seeking a motivated and caring Teaching Assistant to support the learning and development of children within our EYFS setting. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about supporting young children in their educational journey, working closely with the class teacher to create a stimulating and supportive environment. You will play a vital role in supporting children’s progress, helping them develop their social, emotional, and academic skills through play-based learning and structured activities. Key Responsibilities: - Support the class teacher in delivering the EYFS curriculum, ensuring that activities are engaging, inclusive, and suitable for all learners. - Provide one-to-one and small group support to children, both in the classroom and during outdoor activities. - Assist in the creation of a safe, stimulating, and well-organized learning environment. - Observe and monitor children’s progress, providing feedback to the teacher to help assess their development. - Support children with personal care routines as necessary, ensuring their well-being and comfort. - Build positive relationships with children, supporting their emotional and social development. - Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and other professionals to support the needs of individual children. About You: - A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their early development. - Previous experience working with children, preferably within an EYFS setting (or a relevant qualification such as a CACHE Level 2/3 in Early Years). - A good understanding of the EYFS framework and child development. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. - A positive, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children’s learning and well-being. - Ability to work effectively as part of a team, while also using your initiative when required.
