Murex Back Office, Collateral, and Integration SME and training Champion Company: Elenjical Solutions Location: Remote (Must be able to work within European and South African time zones) Role Overview: Elenjical Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Murex Subject Matter Expert (SME) with a focus on Back Office, Collateral Management, and Integration. This remote, non-client-facing role is dedicated to supporting and mentoring junior analysts, providing expertise, and developing internal knowledge resources. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical skills, significant Murex Back Office and integration experience, and the ability to serve as an essential support resource within a collaborative team of SMEs. Key Responsibilities: Mentorship and Development : Act as a mentor and sounding board for junior analysts, providing support across Murex Back Office, Collateral, and Integration modules. Help create a collaborative, growth-oriented environment. Help Desk Support : Respond to help desk queries raised by junior team members, offering insights, guidance, and troubleshooting expertise on complex Back Office, Collateral, and Integration challenges. Training Content Creation and Delivery : Develop structured training content, conduct workshops, and maintain a knowledge repository. Focus on Back Office, Collateral Management, and Integration processes, ensuring junior analysts have access to essential resources. Subject Matter Expertise : Provide expert guidance on Back Office functionalities (e.g., settlements, confirmations, reconciliations, and cash management), Collateral Management (e.g., margin calls, eligibility rules), and Integration (e.g., API setups, middleware). Context Switching and Multi-Tasking : Manage various responsibilities, seamlessly switching between mentoring, handling support queries, and developing training content. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work with other SMEs and project leads to align training and support with broader internal goals and client expectations. Required Skills and Technical Experience: Murex Functional and Technical Skills : Deep understanding of the Murex platform architecture, especially Back Office modules, MxML workflows, data mapping, and scripting for process automation. Extensive experience configuring and customizing Murex for Back Office, Collateral, and Integration, including cash settlements, SSI management, confirmation setup, and user-definable fields. Proficiency in Murex MxML Exchange, with a strong grasp of data dictionary formula types and data model architecture. Strong experience with CLS (Continuous Linked Settlement) interfaces, Swift and Paper confirmations, including an understanding of various Swift formats. Familiarity with Murex connectivity 2.0 interfaces (e.g., MarkitWire, MarginSphere, IM Exposure Management, Euroclear, Clearstream, TDS, BSMT, DTCC/Univista) ideal. Programming and Scripting Skills : Proficient in technologies and protocols such as MXML, MDML, FIX, MQ, XML/XSLT, and shell scripting. Strong knowledge of Oracle and Sybase databases. Financial and Product Knowledge : Solid understanding of Front-to-Back trade lifecycle processes, trade capture, validation, and events. Comprehensive knowledge of FX, IR, Equity, and Credit Derivative products and asset classes. Consulting and Mentoring Skills : Proven ability to mentor junior team members, offering constructive feedback and supporting their development. Experience writing functional and business specifications, with the ability to translate complex financial and business requirements into practical system configurations. Communication Skills : Excellent English proficiency with effective communication skills to convey complex information in a clear, accessible way. Support Structure : The SME will work in close collaboration with a network of experienced SMEs, allowing for knowledge-sharing and mutual support across complex projects.
