As part of the Waste and Resource Recovery team, you will work with a team of dedicated, innovative and award winning professionals who provide waste and recycling services, waste planning and promote waste avoidance and resource recovery within our City. About the role This position will work in conjunction with the Administration Team and Resource Recovery Officers to promote community awareness and good practice on waste avoidance and resource recovery. The role will be required to complete accurate data entry, respond to customer enquiries over the phone and email, and provide support to the Resource Recovery Field Team. The role will also be required to assist with field work and complete research and project work as required by the Resource Recovery Manager and Resource Recovery Education Officers. Essential criteria Currently completing, or recently completed, a tertiary qualification in Marketing, Science, Environment, Planning, Building Surveying, Social Sciences or relevant experience in Local Government Domestic Waste Operations or Strategy. Strong customer service and communication skills Demonstrated computer skills including Microsoft Office applications Current Class C or Provisional Driver Licence Desirable Criteria Experience in administration or project work Knowledge of domestic waste management in Local Government Commencing salary: $32.57per hour, plus 25% casual loading, plus 11.5% Superannuation.
