Your New Role
The role is accountable for planning and setting the go-to-market strategy for all 30+ existing and new markets across EMEA, directly impacting more than $1bn of annual streaming revenues across DTC and Wholesale revenue streams. Also accountable for the timely delivery of inputs essential to the monthly financial forecasting process covering both paid subscriber balance development for WBD’s streaming products as well as direct oversight of over $10m in regional marketing costs outside of direct media investment. Working to optimize the utilization of a total marketing budget of more than $160M pa, the responsibilities will also include pulling together a cross-functional group of regional market leads, acquisition marketeers and retention specialists to produce a robust marketing plan to deliver on the EMEA subscriber and revenue forecast. Leading a team of 2 FTE with a special focus on the wholesale business constituting more than 40% of the EMEA Streaming revenue, functioning as the POC for the wider EMEA Streaming Marketing team and beyond (incl. Streaming finance etc) on all wholesale related matters.
Your Role Accountabilities
Responsible for:
* Maximizing the business KPIs for streaming for EMEA by co-creating an ambitious forecast and delivering on set targets by creating robust marketing plans for all 30+ EMEA markets
* Evaluate regional and pan-EMEA sport right content investment opportunities by creating substantiated projections and business cases in close collaboration with streaming finance, CS&A and sport teams
* Working closely with the EMEA streaming, finance, and global streaming strategy teams, as well as all marketing functions such as pricing and promotions team to deliver on business development initiatives driving revenue growth and profitability across the region. Examples include pricing and packaging considerations, inputs for wholesale deals and new enterprise partnerships.
* Being the main point of contact for the streaming finance team for the marketing spend, forecast and budgets and owning EMEA re-forecast submission to finance each month
* Leading a team that will also support the acquisition and retention teams to ensure the forecasts are met.
* Ensuring your team maintains a detailed aggregated EMEA streaming marketing plan with budgets, market mix, channel mix and forecasted KPIs for the whole of the EMEA marketing team for streaming to work off
* Working alongside the brand and content planning lead to also maximize content as a major input into the aggregated streaming marketing plan for the EMEA region
* Work with the acquisition team on the optimization of the streaming marketing budget across the regions within EMEA leveraging the MMM output they and data science will provide
* Leading a team that support the regional marketing teams on media briefs, targets, media channel mix, budgets optimization as well as any strategic question that might need the support of the team’s numerical skills
Requirements
* A highly experienced commercial marketing leader with proven success in creating and delivering large scale budgets, forecasts and revenue targets
* Strong financial acumen in order to manage budgets, analyze efficiency of marketing initiatives and support the overall corporate financial objectives
* Strong relationship management with internal and external clients as well as key stakeholders to general manager or CMO level
* A proactive, self-starting and independent person who is comfortable with delivering results within a dynamic and matrix organization
* Significant experience with marketing or within a commercial function of a subscription service
* Experience of working in a multinational organization and within a global matrix environment
* Excellent numerical and spreadsheet skills are essential
* Proven experience leading a high performing team and developing talent
* Dynamic personality, adaptability, professionalism
Onsite Working - This role is advertised as Onsite, meaning all working hours and days (regardless of shift pattern) will be carried out at the place of work. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement, where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
