Practitioner Manager - Intake and Assessment Team

A Local Authority in Barry is expanding its Intake and Assessment Team and is in search of two committed Practitioner Managers to join them!
As a Practitioner Manager, you'll play a crucial role in supervising social workers and social care officers, ensuring the highest standards of assessment work within our team. You'll oversee case management, providing guidance and support to your assigned workers to ensure timely completion of S47's and Wellbeing assessments.
Responsibilities will include the following:
1. Supervising social workers and social care officers.
2. Providing oversight of case management for the workers under your supervision.
3. Ensuring timely completion of S47's and Wellbeing assessments within the team.
4. Supporting social workers in their frontline activities as needed.
5. Collaborating with the Team Manager to maintain strategic overview of the team's operations.
6. Implementing and promoting the "Building on Strengths" approach within the team.
