SRM are preparing for the commencement of a major programme of construction works in Port Talbot, South Wales for Tata Steel UK. The works to be undertaken will involve heavy construction/ civil engineering works across a variety of industrial work fronts over the next 3 to 4 years, commencing initially with a series of enabling works ahead of the main programme of works commencing Q3 : 2025.
We have a great opportunity for a Logistics Supervisor to join our Team in Port Talbot to work on an interesting, complex and technically challenging project. The project value will be in excess of £200m.

The Logistics Supervisor role
The post supports the Logistics Manager and the wider logistics team.
The Logistics Supervisor will be responsible for:
* General support to the Logistics Manger as the project logistics strategy is executed
* Supporting compliance and booking in of the workforce, material and plant deliveries and visitors for the project
* Ensuring works contractors and suppliers comply with both client, company, driver and vehicle compliance requirements, vehicle booking procedures and environmental & safety compliance checks- training will be provided
* Supporting the onboarding and induction process for both new starters & visitors to the project
* Liaising with the site team and works contractors to plan vehicle movements to or from; work sites/areas, vehicle holding area(s) or consolidation centre(s)- training will be provided
* Liaising with suppliers, and stakeholders as directed by the logistics manager
* Attending and minute taking in regular logistics meetings, including with the client and execute actions from the meeting that are relevant to the logistics and security team as assigned by the logistics manager
* Liaise with the client works enforcement team and comply with both their and the client security requirements
* Ensure site logistics plans are enforced and traffic/ pedestrian management plans are in place and maintained to a high standard
* As part of the Team, ensure site safety rules are enforced and implemented to a high level.
* Use the project delivery management system to:
o create daily, weekly and monthly delivery forecasts
o create reports and investigate discrepancies between planned and actual vehicle movements
o create non-compliance reports and execute follow up actions, including interface with suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure improved performance

* Organisational / Multi-tasking Skills
* Good communicator - capable of maintaining relationships at all levels
* Relevant CSCS card
* SSSTS
* Previous experience preferable (however, training can be provided for the right candidate)
