As a Project Specialist II at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in managing and executing projects related to sustainable business technologies. Your responsibilities include overseeing energy project activities, ensuring successful project delivery, and providing guidance to project management professionals. Your pre-sale engineering skills, technical expertise, and commitment to sustainability will be vital in promoting renewable Solar, Microgrid, and Battery Energy Storage Systems. You will also develop cost sheets, select equipment, collaborate with procurement, and ensure timely estimates for new projects. Site visits for interconnection points, site layouts, and sizing for Solar and BESS systems will be part of your duties.
You will work closely with the Engineering Department, third-party engineers, and vendors to develop 30% designs. Reporting directly to the C&I Energy Program Principal, you will operate out of our Acton, MA location on a hybrid work schedule.
This role significantly impacts the development and implementation of sustainable technologies, contributing to a more environmentally friendly future.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Lead and manage projects related to sustainable business technologies
* Utilize PVSYST, Helioscope, and PVCASE for PV system sizing and layout development
* Contribute to developing cost models
* Coordinate with Procurement and Engineering for project pricing and installation planning
* Assist in developing financial workbooks for project cost estimation
* Perform forecasting, cost analysis, and schedule tracking for projects
* Manage budgets for estimation and construction
* Support the RFP bid process for new projects
* Create project plans, schedules, and resource allocations
* Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines and deliverables
* Manage project risks, costs, schedules, and issues with mitigation strategies
* Coordinate team members and stakeholders
* Provide guidance and support to project management professionals
* Maintain complete and current project documentation
* Communicate project status and updates to stakeholders
* Drive continuous improvement and best practices
* Manage the Utility Interconnect Process for active projects
The annual base salary ranges from $91,300 to $114,100. This is a general guideline; actual offers depend on various factors including experience, education, skills, and market conditions.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in engineering and project management roles
* Strong project management skills
* Robust engineering skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
* Proficiency in project management software and tools
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
* CAD design experience
