Behaviour Mentor - SEN School - Pontefract
We are seeking a dedicated and supportive Behaviour Mentor to join a special educational needs (SEN) school in Pontefract.
This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about helping students with challenging behaviour develop better communication skills and express themselves in a positive way.
About the Role
- As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students on a 1:1 basis, in pairs, and in small groups.
- Your primary responsibility will be to support students with challenging behaviour, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment while following risk assessments where necessary.
- You will act as a positive role model, offering guidance and support to students across the school to help them engage effectively with their education.

- This SEN school serves students aged 7-16 who have social, emotional, and mental health needs, and who hold an education, health, and care plan (EHCP).
- The school provides a safe, supportive setting for up to 100 students, many of whom have experienced significant disruption in their lives and require tailored support to meet their unique educational needs.
