Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to elevate your career? Taylor Woodrow is seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join our team working on the Transport for London (TfL) contract. As the Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will oversee a portfolio of self-delivery projects ranging from £2M to £10M in value. You will play a pivotal role in delivering projects under the NEC 4 form of contract, ensuring cost control, commercial management, and successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities include
* Oversee and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to programme schedules and budgets.
* Lead the commercial management of NEC 4 contracts, including forecasting, cost reporting, and contract administration.
* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery and alignment with client expectations.
* Drive cost efficiency through value engineering and effective procurement strategies.
* Ensure robust risk management and contractual compliance across all projects.
* Mentor and develop a team of Quantity Surveyors, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
* Report on project performance and provide strategic commercial insights to senior leadership.
Person Specification
* Proven track record as a Managing Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor, ideally within civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
* Strong understanding of NEC contracts, tender processes, and cost control mechanisms.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and budgets in parallel, particularly within self-delivery environments.
* Strong knowledge of cost management, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
* Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field (RICS or CIOB accreditation is desirable).
