Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 2 x part-time Qualified ECA, ASC or Technician to join us on a job-share basis at Raynesway Ambulance Station. The successful candidate will work on an annualised rota, operating a mixture of shifts (18.75 hours per week) covering a 24/7 period. The working pattern is to be discussed with successful candidate andjob share partner to suit both individuals. Vacancy 1 - Green Team. working 12 and 10 hour twilight shifts. Day, afternoon and late shifts. Vacancy 2 - Red Team. working 12 and 10 hour core shifts. Day and night shifts. About you You must be already working as a fully Qualified ECA, ASC or Technician to apply for this position. You will serve your community responding to 999 calls as part of an emergency ambulance crew. You will deal with a range of different people and situations and use clinical guidelines to manage and direct patients to the most appropriate care pathway. Main duties of the job This role requires motivation, commitment and personal resilience as well as an ability to reflect and seek feedback on clinical practice. You must have excellent communication skills, be friendly and work well within a team. It is important to be reliable and punctual in your work due to the nature of an emergency service and the need to respond promptly to incidents/calls. A commitment to continual professional development is also essential due to the evolving nature of emergency and urgent care. You must also embrace and promote equality, diversity and inclusivity in your role and at every opportunity. You will work as an Emergency Care Assistant (ECA), Ambulance Support Crew (ASC) or Technician, depending on your current grade. You will be required to make clinical decisions as a Technician and will be the lead clinician if crewed up with an Emergency Care Assistant or Ambulance Support Crew, which will enable you to provide patients with potentially life-saving care at the scene as well as linking patients with alternative care pathways within the community.
