We are looking for an enthusiastic and computer literate ward clerk, who will be part of a hardworking, busy but efficient team. They need to be able to work independently and also within a small group of ward clerks. Duties include working within our extremely busy SDEC Clinic and AMU Reception. Assisting staff, patients & relatives.
Base Location: POOLE - however due to the merger of both hospitals, this post will move to Royal Bournemouth Hospital early 2026. There will be opportunities to work cross site prior to the merger.

To support with clerical and administrative duties in the day to day running of AMU and our Same Day Emergency Care Clinic.

• Undertakeclericalandadministrativedutiesonbehalfoftheward.
• Liaisewithindividualteammembersandotherdepartmentsasrequired,inamannerthat willcontributetotheeffectiveandefficientrunningoftheward.
• Work within our extremely busy SDEC Clinic to ensure that notes are created and ready for same day patients & ensure that the diary is up to date. You maybe required to call and liaise with patients about attending certain tests or appointments.
• To arrange for the repair of faulty ward equipment.Todeliverposttopatients.
• Answer the telephone and deal with enquiries in a courteous manner.
• Toopenandsortincomingmailanddistribute torelevantpersonnelforaction.
• TousecomputerforinputtingandaccessinggeneralpatientinformationonTrustcomputersystemssuchasEcamis,EPR, Agyle, Electronic Diary andHealthoftheWard.
• Toassist withotherdutiesthat mayreasonablyberequired.
