Main duties of the job
* To co-ordinate Recovery College provision in the locality area.
* To enhance student experience by compassionate communication and effective support systems.
* To enhance co-facilitator experience by providing high quality support and supervision.
* To coordinate and create the prospectus and promote Recovery College across localities.
* To coordinate administration tasks and liaise between Recovery College and partners.
Job responsibilities
* To manage enrolments, course cancellations, facilitator absence, and class cover.
Person Specification
Knowledge
* Knowledge of defining features of Recovery College and ethos
* Awareness of range of different training and facilitation methods
* Knowledge of recovery focussed practice in Mental health
* Attended RC courses
Skills
* Good range of IT skills including excel and powerpoint
* Ability to time manage training, managerial and admin demands
* Excellent interpersonal and written skills
* Ability to teach/facilitate subjects related to recovery and self management
* Ability to deliver training and effective learning outcomes
Experience
* Current experience of using lived experience in a work/voluntary role
* Personal/close relational experience of health and wellbeing recovery and service use
* Experience of dealing professionally with people experiencing difficult situations
* Working in an educational establishment
Approach
* A positive attitude that demonstrates interacting in a recovery oriented way
* A professional attitude to fostering relationships with students and team
* Able to communicate with people at all levels of the organisation
* Ability to travel to sites in a timely manner
