Caretaker/handy person

We are looking to appoint a friendly, reliable and approachable Caretaker/Handy Person

We are looking for an experienced facilities professional to join our team of three. Ideally with previous experience in a school or education setting, you will provide an effective and responsive service, ensuring the cleanliness, appearance and security of the school sites are maintained to the highest standard.

The core responsibilities of the role include the day-to-day maintenance of the school buildings, grounds and equipment. You will also work with external contractors for both emergency and routine matters and coordinate school and external events. You will also be required to carry out risk assessments and maintain inspection records of all caretaking tasks.

This is a full-time, permanent position working 36 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, working hours will be 10am to 6.15pm in normal circumstances, with 22 days’ holiday (rising to 25 days after 5 years’ service). In addition, there is also the opportunity to work overtime hours.
