We have a vacancy for a teaching assistant in our popular and friendly school. This could be a general classroom teaching assistant or a 1:1 role.
You will have the skills needed to engage individuals and groups of children in effective learning and have an interest in developing children's social skills, showing sensitivity to their individual needs. You will be a highly efficient, flexible and reliable person, able to forge positive relationships with children. You will be energetic, supportive and a positive team player, with a sense of humour and excellent communication skills. The role will require a high degree of emotional literacy and commitment, but has the potential to be hugely rewarding. A willingness to support the Catholic ethos and to contribute to the wider life of the school is essential.
This post will include morning and lunchtime break duties.
It will be beneficial for candidates to be able to demonstrate experience of supporting children with emotional and behavioural needs and a good understanding of social communication difficulties. SEN and classroom experience are preferable.
We are a one-form entry school where we value everyone as an individual. We offer a happy and supportive team and tailored professional development. We value everyone in our community and offer strong pastoral support to all.
If you are interested in this position, please get in touch. Visits to the school to meet the staff and children are warmly encouraged!
