Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Sales Head to lead their IT Managed Services sales team and play a pivotal role in defining and leading the marketing function within the business. The candidate will have a proven track record in delivering IT support, IT Service Desk and managed services to large corporate clients, with experience in supporting the aviation industry (airports/airlines).
Beyond excelling in traditional IT support services, this individual must demonstrate the ability to visualise, create, and implement innovative technology-driven solutions to drive efficiencies and cost savings for customers.
In addition, the successful candidate will contribute to the development and execution of a robust marketing strategy, helping position the business as a leader in its field and supporting sales growth through targeted campaigns and brand-building initiatives.
This role offers a unique opportunity to transition into a Chief Sales Officer (CSO) position as the organisation grows. The candidate must demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, strategic vision, and the ability to integrate sales and marketing strategies for maximum impact.
Key Responsibilities
* Sales Leadership: Drive revenue growth in IT Managed Services, IT support, and technology-driven solutions for the aviation industry (airports/airlines).
* Marketing Strategy: Collaborate with senior leadership to define and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with business objectives and supports sales efforts.
* Brand Development: Build the company's brand identity and presence in the market, leveraging innovative campaigns to position the business as an industry leader.
* Innovation & Product Development: Work closely with internal teams and clients to conceptualise, design, and deliver new products or solutions using cutting-edge technologies, aimed at improving operational efficiencies and reducing costs.
* Client Engagement: Build and nurture relationships with C-suite executives and other decision-makers within large corporations, airports, and airlines.
* Strategic Planning: Develop and implement integrated sales and marketing strategies to expand market share and drive innovation in the aviation sector.
* Service Expertise: Leverage expertise in old-school IT support, including onsite engineering, dispatch services, and maintenance of passenger processing equipment, while incorporating modern technological advancements.
* Team Development: Oversee and build high-performing sales and marketing teams, fostering collaboration and alignment between the functions.
* Market Expansion: Identify new opportunities and partnerships within the aviation sector and beyond.
* Performance Metrics: Establish and track KPIs for both sales and marketing efforts to ensure alignment with business goals and achievement of targets.
Qualifications & Skills
* Experience:
* 10+ years of experience in IT Managed Services sales, with at least 5 years focused on airports/airlines or aviation IT support.
* Proven track record in delivering IT support for passenger processing equipment (e.g., kiosks, bag-drop systems, boarding gates).
* Strong background in Service Desk provision, onsite and dispatch engineering services.
* Experience in conceptualising and delivering technology-based products or solutions that drive operational efficiencies and cost optimisation for customers.
* Demonstrated success in defining and executing marketing strategies that support sales growth.
* Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute long-term plans while adapting to industry trends.
* Innovation: Proven ability to create and implement technology solutions and marketing campaigns that solve customer challenges and enhance market visibility.
* Relationship Management: Exceptional skills in building and maintaining senior-level client relationships.
* Leadership: Demonstrated ability to manage, mentor, and grow sales and marketing teams.
* Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with both traditional IT support and modern technology platforms for the aviation industry.
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
