Job Opportunity: Assistant Accountant
Sheridan Maine is proud to partner with a leading manufacturing organisation based in Redditch. Our client is renowned for their commitment to excellence, innovation, and quality. They are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join their dynamic finance team.
Role Overview:
As an Assistant Accountant, you will support the financial operations of the company, including traditional accounting duties, credit control, and purchase ledger management.
Responsibilities:
* Assist in preparing financial statements and reports.
* Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers.
* Perform reconciliations of bank statements and transactions.
* Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
* Assist with credit control and ensure timely collection of payments.
* Manage the sales ledger and keep records up-to-date.
* Support purchase ledger tasks as needed.
* Liaise with internal departments and external customers to resolve queries.
Candidate Requirements:
* At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
* Currently studying towards an accounting qualification such as AAT or equivalent.
* Good knowledge of credit control and purchase ledger processes.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
