Job description
The Role: The Logistics Operative will be responsible for operating MHE and moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting completed products or materials in areas of the Logistics function. The role requires organizational skills to drive operational efficiency in line with outload and production deadlines.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
1. Ensure Health & Safety of yourself and others within the department and adhere to all safety procedures and protocols while operating MHE or performing any manual handling.
2. Safely and efficiently operate MHE to move materials or finished goods to and from storage areas, loading docks, trucks, or other locations within the logistics function.
3. Conduct daily maintenance checks on the MHE you operate and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
4. Complete necessary paperwork and documentation related to the area of operation, inventory counts, and material movement as required.
5. Communicate and collaborate with warehouse staff, supervisors, and other team members to ensure efficient workflow and fulfillment of orders.
6. Assist with labeling and booking in process of inbound goods where required before relocating the stock to the relevant storage locations.
7. Picking and decanting products required for Tempering. Load & set tempering units and complete any paperwork as required.
8. General cleaning and recycling duties around the Warehouses and site ensuring GMP Standards are upheld as well as operating cardboard and film bailers and refuse compactors.

Skills Required:
1. Ability to work well in a team environment, follow instructions, and collaborate with co-workers to accomplish tasks.
2. Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in inventory counts and proper handling of materials.
3. Previous experience of working within a logistics department beneficial.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members, upper management, and stakeholders.
5. Ability to self-manage and have the flexibility and adaptability to navigate changing priorities and environments.
6. SAP or WMS understanding beneficial but not essential.
