The Role:
As a Transformer Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing bespoke transformers to meet rigorous certifications and standards (CE, UL). Your expertise will guide the development of products for applications such as:
* Battery Energy Storage Systems: Transforming renewable energy into usable power for homes and industrial facilities, ensuring continuity during grid outages.
* Voltage Optimisation Units: Enhancing efficiency and extending the lifespan of equipment by fine-tuning incoming voltage.
* Wind and Solar Farm Applications: Supporting the growing electrification focus by stepping up and stepping down voltages for renewable energy integration.
You'll work closely with sales teams to advise on feasibility, manage engineering resources, and ensure optimal transformer design using 2D/3D CAD software. Your knowledge of core materials, windings, and UK standards will be vital in delivering high-performance solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
