Tennals Pest Control is an accredited member of the BPCA and a member of the NPTA. We have a reputation for quality and excellent customer service.
Although we operate predominantly in the West Midlands, we have a client base that spans the UK and as such, all employees working for Tennals Pest Control may be required to attend various other sites across the UK.
As a technician, you will be primarily organising/undertaking treatment programs on commercial, residential and government properties to facilitate integrated pest management programs across the client base.
Core hours are 42.5 hours a week from Monday to Friday. There may also be a requirement to participate in a call out rota outside normal working hours. You will also be expected to travel outside of your area when required.
The role requires a hardworking, 'can do' attitude, with excellent communication and customer service skills.
A high level of client interaction and customer service must be evident from the outset.
Technicians will need to be qualified to BPCA / RSPH level 2 in pest management or equivalent with at least 2 years’ experience within the Pest Control Industry.
The Pest Control Technician will need to plan their working routes and travel efficiently between customer premises to conduct full inspections and advise customers on possible treatment options.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Qualified to BPCA / RSPH level 2 in pest management or equivalent
2. 2 years’ experience in Pest Control
3. Enhanced DBS Clearance
Key Skills and Responsibilities:
1. Inspect customer premises and report on status of premises on levels of pest infestation.
2. Organise and undertake a programme of treatments using pesticides to control pests
3. Undertake minor proofing works to prevent pest infestation.
4. Competent written & verbal communication skills
5. A full UK driving license
6. Be self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.
7. Able to work to and meet deadlines
8. Achieve KPI’s
9. Good organisational skills
10. Able to work at height and in confined spaces.
11. Applying suitable pesticides to infested areas by following the label instructions and complying with safety procedures.
12. Safely install pest control materials including baits, sprays, powders and gels
13. Responding to customers’ requests for various pest control services.
14. Identifying opportunities to sell additional company services and products.
15. Prepare quotations for new service proposals by explaining provisions and options to existing customers and new customers.
16. Identify customer problems and selects the appropriate solution.
