Role
This is a part-time role at 0.8 FTE in the Faculty of Social Sciences (based in the School of Business and Society). The School Marketing Manager reports directly to the Head of Faculty Marketing and Recruitment (Social Sciences), who is part of the External Relations Directorate. The post holder is expected to have regular interactions with various central ‘hub’ teams and academic stakeholders, collaborating with recruitment, admissions, digital, media, and communications teams across External Relations, Marketing, Recruitment, Admissions and Outreach (MRAO), and International Recruitment Partnerships and Mobility (IRPM) to support the University of York’s vision.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing and executing localised marketing and conversion strategies for the School. You will manage the School’s Digital and Social Media Coordinator and deliver a wide range of marketing and conversion activities, including lead generation campaigns, recruitment events, brand management, and social media and brand awareness activities. As the Student Recruitment and Marketing Manager, you’ll enhance our efforts with your leadership, critical thinking, and communication skills.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
* Experience in market planning and implementation.
* Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and manage multiple stakeholders collaboratively.
* Experience in managing and prioritising a varied workload while working accurately under pressure.
* Experience across all channels within the full marketing mix to create impactful marketing and conversion outcomes.
* Line management experience.
* Taking ownership of significant pieces of work, e.g., leading a project.
* Ability to gather, analyse, interpret, and report complex data/information.
* Proficiency in digital technologies, including Google applications and/or Microsoft Office.
* Effective communication skills in verbal and written formats, using a variety of digital tools.
