Hybrid – circa 3 office days, 2 at home

Role Overview:
As a SQL BI Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing database solutions to support critical business and financial operations. You’ll collaborate with key stakeholders, translating data into meaningful insights, and working on both existing and new system developments. Reporting to the Director of IT, you’ll be an essential part of a dynamic team that thrives on innovation and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead system improvement projects and drive the development of new and existing solutions.
* Design and refine database structures and data processes.
* Utilize ETL tools such as SSIS to manage and create data pipelines.
* Develop and modify reports and dashboards using Power BI and SSRS.
* Collaborate with business users of varying technical expertise to deliver solutions that meet their needs.
* Write SQL queries to address data requests and troubleshoot system issues.
* Maintain and document system changes, keeping project documentation up to date.
* Perform routine database maintenance tasks.
About You:
* Proficiency in SQL with 3+ years of experience in a development-focused role.
* Strong understanding of data structure and model design.
* Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, SSRS).
* Hands-on experience with ETL tools, such as SSIS.
* Excellent problem-solving skills.
* Ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
* Bonus: Familiarity with Excel, VBA, and a passion for continuous learning.
* Any experience of Python and / or .Net would be desired, not essential
