About the Role: As a Senior Planner, you will be working alongside Croydon Brough council providing a stable and profitable contract, delivering excellent service and support through our local teams, who understand the importance of working together for the local community. A Senior Planner within our West Whickham branch you will need to be proactive and ready to tackle any challenge that are thrown at you and respond with options or preferably a resolution. You will also need to be responsible for monitoring and maintaining PDA (personal digital assistant) control allocation and will monitor daily work volumes ensuring efficient use of resources to meet turnaround timescales. As well as this, whilst ensuring employees always have the workload to allow them to perform to an optimum level, you will also provide supporting information on operative performance levels. About the Role We are looking for a professional candidate with experience to manage the scheduling of operative and sub-contract resource on MCM with the Planning Team, so the right operative arrives at the right place at the right time with the right material & equipment to effect a right first time fix on each job, ensure that performance targets are achieved. Maximise the efficiency of the service through the effective management and utilisation of resources, in conjunction with the workstream manager to identify operational problems which may impact on the performance of contracts and develop innovative solutions to resolve such issues. Monitor the flow of the work into the team to establish records of workflow so that increases in workload can be identified and adequately resourced, including allowances for holidays and sickness absence. Manage the allocation of works to subcontractors & ordering of materials, ensuring processes are carried out in accordance with procurement procedures and within timescales to maintain individual contract programmes. Ensure the customer experience is central to all activities by adopting a professional manner when communicating with service users, clients, and both internal/external stakeholders This includes but is not limited to appearance, company ID and maintaining a high standard of health & safety requirements.
