Our client empowers others to understand and act on the performance of their buildings – improving building performance, usability, and energy efficiency, reducing CO2 emissions, and tackling climate change. Their goal is for their tools to reach 5 million buildings by 2030. You will be joining a small, financially stable, investor-backed organisation comprising of a small and ambitious team, with a can-do attitude. Their current products include:
1. Pulse – a compressed air-based system for measuring building air leakage
2. SmartHTC – an energy balance algorithm that uses temperature and energy data to determine the thermal performance of a building
3. Heat3D – an infrared thermography-based mobile app for measuring thermal transmittance through building structures
Key responsibilities include:
1. Supporting the technical team in carrying out equipment testing and delivering projects
2. Servicing and repairing measuring equipment in the workshop (basic hand tools)
3. Collating test results and service records sheets (Excel), detailing if any problems were found with the product
4. Customer relations, including meeting and greeting customers who are bringing products in to be serviced/repaired and contacting customers when products are ready to collect
5. Supporting the process of managing stock of products and spare parts
6. Generating and issuing certificates for industry training
7. Preparing quotes and processing sales orders
8. Additional administration tasks as and when needed
Personal Specification:
1. Good communication skills
2. Hands on and interested in being part time in the workshop, part time at a desk in the office
3. Ability to take initiative and be proactive
4. 4/C+ in GCSE Maths and English
5. Car driver required if not based locally
You will complete a Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship, delivered by Starting Off, alongside this role.
Hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm with an hour lunch
