Work closely with the Surgery rota coordinator to learn all aspects of the role to be able to provide adequate cover in times of leave & unavailability. Manage data reports, escalating to appropriate administration staff with clear instructions of updates to be made, examples include: missing priority codes, missing clock starts/stops. Source, validate & document accurate RTT data in accordance with agreed practices and standards, Ensuring, the RTT data reported to the Department of Health is accurate. Monitor and ensure accuracy of data relating to inter-hospital transfers and respond to external queries relating to those data. Input the data into Trust systems in a timely and accurate manner. Liaise with clinicians, nursing staff and administration staff as appropriate to achieve collection of accurate data. Educate medical, clinical and administrative staff within the division on the complex principles of clock start and stop validation and the use of RTT codes, compliant with the access policy. Identify any pathway trends or specific trends within specialties and highlight areas of concern. Collect additional data on an ad-hoc basis. Plan and organise own work schedule with the use of appropriate planning aids, demonstrating good time management and ensuring anticipated difficulties in meeting deadlines are promptly reported. Participate in RTT (referral to treatment) meetings and present the current position of the Surgery & Urology departments. Maintain the high standards of the department by contributing towards individual and team objectives Manage competing demands whilst working across the two directorates. Training new members of staff, whilst maintaining full-service cover. Any other tasks requested of the directorate management team.
