About the role: ICT Teacher Activate Learning has an exciting opportunity available for a passionate and innovative ICT Teacher to join our teaching team based at Farnham College. The role will deliver across our new T-Level Digital qualifications, with a particular focus on developing the technical, practical, and professional skills needed for a career in the digital sector. This is a permanent, full-time role based at Farnham College. What do you need to be successful as an ICT Teacher at Activate Learning? Successful candidates will have an appropriate professional qualification and/or a degree in Computing, Information Technology, or a related digital field, alongside relevant industrial experience. We would also welcome applications from unqualified teachers with the ability to inspire our learners, a willingness to train, and a commitment to developing excellent teaching practice. We are seeking individuals who can act as positive role models and demonstrate the attributes of an inspirational lecturer. Your communication and interpersonal skills will be excellent, helping you deliver engaging, purposeful lessons to a diverse range of learners. We want teachers who can ensure that students leave us not only with their qualifications, but also with the skills and attributes needed to succeed in the digital workplace. Candidates should demonstrate a desire and ability to work with the wider team to develop strong employer links and build opportunities for meaningful work experience and project-based learning for students. It is essential that candidates have strong practical knowledge in key ICT and computing areas such as networking, cybersecurity, data management, and programming (Python, Java, or similar). Practical experience using industry-standard platforms and technologies (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS, Cisco Networking, SQL databases) would be a distinct advantage. The ability to support students in developing digital project management skills and technical documentation is also desirable. The successful candidate will be involved in grading project work, supporting student assessments, and participating in the internal quality assurance processes for T-Level delivery.
