Maintenance Engineer - Electrical Bias
We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join our team at a major manufacturer of bearings for the aerospace and automotive industry.
Job Summary:
This is a permanent opportunity with an attractive salary. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, fault finding, repairing and improving production equipment, including CNC lathes, mills and grinding machines.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out preventative maintenance in accordance with schedules
* Resolve breakdowns and fault find to the cause of failures
* Source and purchase spares
* Perform both electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks
* Test and inspect electrical installations
* Communicate effectively with operators, managers, engineers and contractors
* Support the development of new ways of working and good working practices
* Drive a continuous improvement culture
* Support supplier and subcontractor development, where applicable
* Ensure operations comply with the Code of Conduct, Environment Health & Safety (EHS) and Quality Policies, and work according to the Quality Management System
Requirements:
* Apprenticeships or industry-recognized qualifications such as City & Guilds, NVQs, BTECs, HNCs, HNDs etc.
* Experience in a CNC manufacturing environment
* Good understanding of maintenance and engineering practices
* Excellent electrical knowledge
* Excellent mechatronics knowledge
* Good understanding of preventative maintenance principles and methodologies
* Able to use initiative and work autonomously when required
* Flexible to work overtime and support a small team
Salary:
£55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience
