Due to continuing expansion, this reputable engineering firm are looking to grow their engineering team in 2025. As part of this growth, they are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to take ownership of the full design lifecycle.
The successful Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will operate in multi-functional project teams and be tasked with leading cutting-edge machinery design projects. Key duties include client liaison, concept design, 3D / 2D CAD, calculations, test & validation and overseeing your work into build and commissioning.
The company design a highly bespoke range of machinery incorporating complex assemblies, frames, precision components, rotating parts, gearboxes, drives, bearings, seals, instrumentation etc. Each project is both different and highly interesting. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with sound knowledge of mechanical 1st principles and some experience leading projects.
Senior Mechanical Design Engineer requirements
Degree level in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
3D CAD – PTC CREO (or similar)
Experience in a similar position – designing special purpose machinery (or similar)
GD&T
