Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Information Technology (IT) Support Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and a customer-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities:
* Technical Support: Provide first-line support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues efficiently and effectively.
* System Maintenance: Perform regular system maintenance, updates, and backups to ensure optimal performance and security.
* User Training: Conduct training sessions and create documentation to help users understand and effectively use IT systems.
* Network Management: Assist in the administration and maintenance of the companyâs network infrastructure, including servers, routers, and switches.
* Incident Management: Monitor and respond to IT incidents, ensuring timely resolution and escalation when necessary.
* Asset Management: Keep an accurate inventory of IT assets and manage hardware and software licenses.
* Security: Implement and enforce IT security policies to protect the companyâs data and systems.
* Project Assistance: Support IT projects and initiatives, contributing to the planning, implementation, and documentation phases.
Qualifications:
* Education: Bachelorâs degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
* Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in an IT support role.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows and Mac operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic network troubleshooting.
* Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications are a plus.
* Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a customer-oriented attitude.
* Other: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
