We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Involvement Coordinator to work within Community and Inpatient Services. In this post you will predominantly liaise and work with Service Users and carers from a diverse range of backgrounds and communities who are currently or have recently been involved with Wiltshire mental health services. Main duties of the job As the Involvement Coordinator, you will have regular contact with managers of Wiltshire AWP services including Service Managers, Matron, Team and Ward Managers and the Senior Management Team. You will routinely link in with the Trust's Patient Experience team to ensure learning across the organisation. You may have personal/lived experience of a mental health condition and have experience of working within both the statutory and voluntary sectors and a commitment to valuing the expertise that each sector brings. The post holder will have experience of mental health problems and will be able to draw upon this experience in all areas of their role. The post holder will support the development of service user & carer involvement opportunities and groups for AWP and as part of a growing integrated care delivery to Mental Health. The post holders role includes: Support & work with individual service users & groups with involvement activities and projects within the locality, within a co-production model. Advise and work with the locality to develop a plan for service user involvement, this may involve collating information and/or informing the locality. Work with the locality and their staff to develop best practice in service user involvement and embed this as part of the mainstream practice. This will include delivering service user and carer involvement training to staff, advising and working with staff to measure the outcomes of these initiatives e.g. service user evaluation tools. Participate in Trust wide groups, initiatives and activities to bring forward service users perspectives; this will include giving presentations.
