The IT Vendor Manager manages IT with a combination of contract, performance, relationship, and risk management roles with IT vendors.
They will manage the operational working relationships with vendors to ensure that contractual commitments are delivered across IT, ensuring ownership of these amongst leadership in line with Corporate SLA commitments.
Align department objectives and associated metrics with those of the business through working closely with the Procurement department, ensuring the vendor process is well understood and executed. Manage an internal team to provide day to day vendor requirements including financial controls and risks.
Operational
* Establish IT sourcing frameworks and IT procurement procedures and processes in conjunction with the Procurement & TMO departments that balance cost, risk and agility.
* Classify, rationalize, and optimize the vendor portfolio, prioritizing agreed strategic vendors.
* Manage regular senior-level collaborative meetings between the vendor and the IT vendor owner ensuring QBRs and lower level interim reviews and performance feedback mechanisms are scheduled, organized and actions are completed.
* Create contract, performance, relationship, and risk management procedures.
* Analyze problem areas and help resolve issues and disputes.
* Collect constituent reporting requirements, and develop vendor scorecards and dashboards that present relevant data, clear metrics across all key performance indicators (KPIs) tailored to MPS values and strategic ambitions.
* Identify and execute value opportunities with key vendor relationships by driving the IT sourcing and procurement strategies for products, services, and solutions.
* Identify and evaluate the best options for solutions, which may include acquisition of IT products, outsourcing or insourcing, or other alternatives
