We have a fabulous opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Physiotherapist to join the mental health physiotherapy team for Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
This post would be suited to a Physiotherapist with a special interest in mental health conditions, or those looking for a new opportunity to use their transferable skills from a different speciality.
Our community teams aim to improve the quality of life of those experiencing a mental health crisis, in relation to their diagnosis of dementia, depression, anxiety or other mental health problems.
We are a team made up of experienced Physiotherapists and assistants.
We work closely with various MDTs, such as Nurses, Specialist Support Workers, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists and Psychiatrists.
We promote non-pharmacological interventions wherever possible and have a holistic approach to patient care. This is an ideal environment for an innovative Physiotherapist to utilise their therapy-based assessment and care planning skills.
Work will involve seeing people on wards and also in their own homes. There will be a focus on promoting independence, rehabilitation and also supporting carers.
