Overview
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: OTE £31,600 (including £25,000 basic plus bonus. Overachievement bonus also available!)
Hours: 42 hours per week (flexibility with start and finish times Monday to Friday, plus Saturday morning on rota basis)
Our Aftersales Manager at Newcastle Renault is recruiting for a Prep Technician / PDI Technician to join their successful team, working in a fast-paced workshop environment. You will play a vital role in the team, carrying out pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles. You will be responsible for inspecting and servicing new vehicles when they are delivered to the dealership, ensuring minor repairs or adjustments are carried out in a timely manner to maintain the salable condition of the vehicles.

Our technicians play a vital role within our Service team by delivering first-class customer service every time. If you have a level 3 NVQ in light vehicle maintenance and repair (or equivalent), whether you work in a dealer group or independent garage, we want to hear from you! An MOT Tester qualification would be extremely advantageous.
Responsibilities
Carrying out pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles including:
1. Inspecting vehicles for any signs of damage or missing components
2. Inspecting vehicles for loose or misaligned items and repairing them to a high standard
3. Fitting number plates
4. Carrying out checks in line with manufacturers' guidelines
5. Fitting any additional accessories requested by the customer
6. Conducting vehicle health checks and reporting any further work which may be required
7. Ensuring any Warranty work is completed and recorded accurately
8. Ensuring all mechanical and electrical components are in full working order
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have an NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent), motor industry experience, and a full and valid UK driving licence. You’ll be self-motivated while being able to support your team, ambitious and eager to learn, and able to work to and maintain the highest standards for all vehicles that come through our doors.
