Job Title: Band 3 Locum Podiatry Assistant Location: Preston Duration: 3 months Hours: Full-Time Start Date: ASAP About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Locum Podiatry Assistant to join our team in Preston. This is a full-time position for a duration of three months, starting as soon as possible. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out diabetic foot screenings and providing essential foot care and health advice to diabetic service users. Main responsibilities of this Physiotherapy vacancy: Diabetic Foot Screening: Conduct comprehensive foot screenings for diabetic service users. This includes: Asking a series of questions to assess the risk to their feet. Palpating pulses to check blood flow. Using a 10g monofilament to determine the service users’ sensation. Noticing changes to the foot and providing appropriate foot care and health advice. Prioritise and recognise urgent referrals to ensure timely care. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all assessments and treatments. Effectively communicate with service users, their families, and other healthcare professionals. Utilize computer systems for documentation and communication purposes. Essential requirements of this Physiotherapy vacancy: HCPC registration. Right to work in the UK. Desirable Skills: Proficient in diabetic foot screening and providing foot care. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Competent in using computer systems for documentation and communication. Ability to notice changes in the foot and provide appropriate care.
