Required from September 2025, a well-qualified and successful classroom practitioner to teach Geography in our strong Humanities Department. The take up of Geography at GCSE and A Level is very strong, so it would be expected that the successful candidate would be able to teach up to GCSE Level and the ability to teach A Level is desirable. The department follows the AQA specification at GCSE and A-Level and has a well-sequenced curriculum at KS3. The ability to offer some flexibility and teach KS3 in another humanities subject would also be welcomed. Plan and teach lessons which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils to achieve good outcomes. Adapt teaching so that all students are supported and challenged at an appropriate level. Build excellent relationships with pupils and colleagues in order to work collaboratively. Contribute to the wider provision of curricular and extra-curricular activities within the Geography department such as local fieldwork and trips.
