These solutions will focus on industrial low voltage power distribution and control, lighting, and heat trace applications. This position is responsible for the development processes, technology, and training for driving concept to production of Engineer to Order products in a rapid execution customer focused environment. The Director of Applications Engineering brings technical acumen and reviews the work of the global organization to ensure the solutions developed comply with global certification and safety standards.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
* Lead all application engineering groups listed above
* Develop, improve processes to manage daily orders, support quotations and provide technical support to customers and other groups within Appleton Group
* Develop trust and communication within the sales channel regarding delivery promises; and drive to meet or exceed market lead time expectations.
* Coach, mentor and develop the team, providing regular feedback, using the employee performance review and goal setting process.
* Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.
* Perform other duties as assigned
* Develop, support continuous improvements across all Application groups
* Manage and develop Application engineering standards and best practices across all groups within Appleton Group
* Evaluate efficiency, capacity, and staffing metrics to optimize operations.
* Support training and development programs

For This Role, You Will Need:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering
* Relevant years of professional experience commensurate with the level of this position.
* Familiar with hazardous location standards (NEC/CEC/IEC/ATEX)
* Experience leading a global technical team
* Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio
* Power distribution and control design application experience
* Must be results oriented with strong organizational skills
* Ability to travel to meet business needs
* Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
