We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Electrician with an understanding of mechanical systems to join our busy engineering team in Nottingham on a high profile corporate site
Day Shift Hours Monday - Friday 07:00 - 15:30 or 08:00 - 16:30
You will be expected to join the on-call team providing out of hours call out cover as required, currently 1 in 5 weeks. (Driving License required due to location of site)
As our onsite Electrician you will have experience of reactive maintenance and planned maintenance scheduling and a proven track record of general system fault finding regarding general building services plant and equipment.
Have a good understanding of wiring diagrams and panel drawings to enable speedy fault finding.
You will be responsible for maintaining the electrical engineering systems, plant, equipment, and building critical components in order to ensure their safe operation, serviceability and compliance with statutory regulations, policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and compliant environment for associates and visitors.
An understanding of Data Centre operations and the Change Requests would be beneficial.

You will be enthusiastic, helpful and have a sense of pride in your work and will have a flexible approach to deal with unknown circumstances as and when they occur. Key Responsibilities
● Actively participate in the operation and control of engineering planned maintenance schemes.
● Undertake essential repair works and general maintenance activities as requested.
● Actively participate in the operation, control and repair of the Building Management and lighting control systems.
● Liaise with the management team regarding services, plant and equipment failures.
● Undertake fault-finding on all Building Services, critical systems and equipment. Using ‘cause effect analysis’ and detailed examination to gain a solution.
● Carry out emergency lighting and fire alarm testing.
● Become the onsite Low Voltage Appointed Person and be responsible for all generator testing and electrical shutdowns.
Who we are looking for:
● An experienced electrical tradesperson with a recognised and registered E.I.T.B. or C.I.T.B Apprenticeship.
● City & Guilds BS7671 Wiring Regulations (18th Edition).
● City & Guilds in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
● City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing (Beneficial)
● Knowledge of LV Switching, Generators, UPS systems
● Considerable maintenance experience in an electrical role, and working knowledge of Air Handling Units, Fan Coil Units, Pumps and their associated controls.
● A good understanding of mechanical building services.
● A working knowledge of CAFM systems & MS Office / Google Suite.
