Responsibilities
710 Labs is an award-winning multi-state cannabis brand obsessed with making the richest flavored, organic, small batch cannabis on the planet. We are the OGs that hand select and hunt exotic cultivars from the most renowned breeders. This role will support the 710 Labs brand but will be employed by our New Jersey partner, Fresh Cannabis, LLC. Responsibilities include:
* Assist the Lab Director in the management of lab employees including supervising common tasks, tracking performance metrics, and increasing overall awareness, skills, and performance of the team.
* Oversee, understand, and perform all solventless extraction steps, as well as perform post processing steps.
* Ensure all employees are accurately executing General SOPs, Production SOPs, Storage SOPs, and Transferring SOPs without deviation.
* Understand how to operate all lab machinery and create all the SKUs we produce.
* Ensure extraction schedules dictated by ownership and/or management are adhered to and achieved.
* Assist Lab Director with allocations, batching, and creation of production sheets.
* Assist Lab Director to ensure all required paperwork is completed including METRC, Dynamics, Google Sheets/Excel, and Production Sheets.
* Ensure lab supplies remain in stock at all times.
* Track fresh frozen intake from harvest, organize freezers, and update any outtake/usage.
* Maintain accurate and detailed production records.
* Ensure all product weights, containers, and jars are accounted for.
* Oversee upkeep of all lab equipment and work with management for repairs or maintenance.
* Regulate the gramming and distribution of R&D samples.
* Assist in any R&D projects dictated by ownership and/or management and adhere to assigned methodologies without deviation.
* Perform QA and Tier rating of all products produced by the lab.
* Maintain a positive supportive role for the team in leading them to success.
* Lead, guide, and communicate to employees in a professional manner.
* Perform pre-production and post-production tasks when needed.
* Provide training and development to new and existing employees.
* Assess product and production paths.
Qualifications
* 2 years prior experience in a cannabis manufacturing lab.
* Prior people management experience required.
* Excellent communication skills and leadership both verbally and through written media.
* Detail oriented with an eye on process improvement and optimization.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage high-stress situations.
* Must be comfortable working in cold environments (30-40F) for extended periods.
* Capable of sitting, squatting, standing, kneeling, bending, or walking through the workday.
* Experience in a production role requiring time management and high standards for quality control.
* Experience in solventless production, particularly processing fresh frozen into water hash and various rosin products.
* Knowledge and ability to use and troubleshoot standard lab equipment and freeze dryers.
* Attention to detail.
* Ability to use standard office equipment, computer equipment, and software including word processing, database management, METRC, spreadsheet applications, and electronic mail.
* Skilled in analyzing problems, identifying alternative solutions, and implementing recommendations.
* Ability to reach set goals within a given time frame.
* Efficient at repetitive tasks.
* Work well as part of a team.
